Coastal cars take a different kind of abuse than inland ones. Salt in the air off the Peninsula settles on every horizontal panel, and combined with year-round UV it is the single biggest factor in how long a wrap holds its finish. It is why we steer Newport clients toward cast films rather than calendared, and why we usually recommend a ceramic coating over satin and matte finishes here. Those textures trap salt in a way gloss does not, and they are far less forgiving to clean.

Parking matters just as much. If your car lives in a Fashion Island structure or gets valeted three nights a week, wear shows up first at the door edges and handle cups, where a careless hand catches a lifted corner. We wrap those areas with deeper post-heating and fully tucked edges than a garage-kept car ever needs. If you street park along the Peninsula, sand abrasion along the rockers is the thing to plan for, and paint protection film underneath the wrap on the lower panels is worth the extra cost there and nowhere else.

The drive from our Costa Mesa shop is about fifteen minutes up Newport Boulevard. Most full wraps run three to five days depending on the vehicle and the finish.
