Huntington has a problem the rest of Orange County does not: sand. On a windy afternoon the beach lots along Pacific Coast Highway are effectively a low-grade blasting cabinet, and the damage lands in a predictable place. Rocker panels, lower doors, and the leading edge of the rear quarters take it first. That is where we build the wrap up rather than in the obvious places, with paint protection film beneath the vinyl on the lower panels and edges tucked well past the visible line.

Salt is the second factor and it comes with the territory. We use cast film exclusively on coastal cars and recommend a ceramic coating over any satin or matte finish here, because those textures hold both salt and fine sand in a way gloss simply does not. If your car parks at the beach regularly and you want the lowest-maintenance result, gloss is the honest answer.

One thing specific to Huntington: if you run a roof rack or board rack, tell us before we start. Rack feet sit on the roof under load and we wrap those contact areas differently, or advise leaving them unwrapped, so you do not get pressure marks in the film.
